A Personal Hotspot lets you share the cellular data connection of your iPhone (Wi-Fi + Cellular) when you don't have access to a Wi-Fi network. Follow these steps to learn how to set up and configure a mobile hotspot.
Tap Settings.
Tap Personal Hotspot..
Tap Wi-Fi Password.
Under Password, enter a password (at least 8 characters).
Once you have entered your password, tap Done.
Enable Allow Others to Join.
If you receive a prompt, tap Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The iPhone has now been configured for use as a WiFi hotspot. On the device that you want to connect, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and look for your iPhone in the list. Then tap the Wi-Fi network to join. If asked, enter the password for your Personal Hotspot.
