Follow these steps to learn how to insert a SIM card into the iPhone.

Step 1:

To pop open the SIM tray, insert a paper clip or a SIM-eject tool into the hole beside the tray.

Step 2:

Push in, towards the iPhone, but don’t force it.

Step 3:

Take the SIM card tray out of the iPhone.

Step 4:

Place the new SIM card into the tray—it will fit only one way.

Step 5:

Then insert the tray into the device completely and in the same orientation that you removed it. The tray also fits only one way.

Your iPhone will now be able to connect to a mobile network and receive calls. Note: The SIM card may require a PIN code. (Default codes are often set to 0000 or 1234.)
