30% off Endless plans for your first 3 x plan purchases

- 30% off Skinny Endless data mobile plans is a promotional offer and is available from Monday 29th April – Sunday 26th May 2024.

- The offer applied to Skinny customers signing up to any of the following 4-weekly mobile plans:

Standard Recurring Discount Terms & Conditions

• Occasionally Skinny offers recurring discounts to certain customers via SMS (for example, X% off X plan for X number of renewals). These offers are available to customers who receive the relevant SMS and must be activated by replying YES.

• The applicable discount will be applied automatically upon activation of plan. The discount will only be applied if taken up within promotional dates specified in the SMS. Discount can only be applied to the plan it was offered on.

• To receive the plan renewal discounts outlined in your offer you must remain on the same plan for the defined number of consecutive plan renewals. Your plan must either renew automatically (if Set & Forget is activated) or you must renew your plan within 48 hours of plan expiry to continue receiving the recurring discount.

• The discount will be removed if you terminate your plan, fail to renew your plan within 48 hours of plan expiry or switch to a different plan.

$10 per month Broadband Discount Terms & Conditions

  • 1. Who is eligible: You are eligible if (1) you already have a Skinny 4-weekly rollover $17, $27, $40, $50 or $70 plan or 4-weekly Endless $40, $50, $70 plan and (2) you join on a Skinny Wireless Broadband $45, $50 or $55 plan or, on a Skinny Fixed Broadband plan $75 or $90, or a VDSL or ADSL plan. You must have both Broadband and mobile plans active on your broadband bill date to get this offer. 
  • 2. What do you get: Eligible customers get a $10 discount on their broadband plan cost, on their bill date.
  • 3. You must renew your mobile plan: To be eligible for this offer, you must have an active eligible mobile plan on the date of your broadband bill date. If you don’t, you will not receive the $10 discount for that entire billing cycle. If you purchase or renew an eligible mobile plan during the following month, you will not get a part discount or rebate.  If you switch mobile provider or move to an ineligible plan (even if you’re doing so because of a change we’ve made to your disadvantage), you will lose your $10 discount.
  • 4. Only one discount per account: If you have multiple plans with us, you won’t get an additional $10 discount.
  • 5. When activating your modem after you receive it: Make sure you use the email address you used when signing up to the broadband plan, when you’re asked to log in. If you don’t use this email address you won’t receive your $10 per month discount.
  • Promotional offers available to Skinny Mobile customers in New Zealand will not apply when using the roaming service unless they are specifically related to roaming.

Skinny Wireless Broadband first 2 months free broadband – Terms and Conditions

The first two months free broadband offer (“the offer”) applies to your first two months (60 days) of base plan charges on your new Skinny Wireless Broadband 12 month plan account. Assumes customers will renew their Wireless Broadband plans on a monthly (30 days) basis.

The offer is only available to customers who do not currently purchase broadband from Skinny and have not had broadband with Skinny within the last 90 days..

Manu Tik Tok filter competition.

- By participating in this Competition ‘Manu Tik Tok filter competition’, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Competition Terms.

- The Promoter of this Competition is Skinny Mobile ("Skinny").

- This Competition commences at 08:00 am on 26/02/2024 and ends at 12:00 pm on 18/03/2024.

- Entrants enter Skinny’s Manu Tik Tok filter competition by either scanning the QR code or using the published filter on Tik Tok. 

- All valid entries received by 12:00 pm on 18/03/2024 will go into the draw.

Prizes Include:

- “1 year of Free Skinny” (13 instalments of $70 = $910) to be applied at once. 

- 2 x Skinny branded mini cooler 

- 5 x Skinny branded bucket hat and sport towel set.

Prize and entry terms:

- Entrants must be a Skinny mobile customer to win the “1 year of Free Skinny” and be on an eligible mobile plan. Skinny VIPish at the Manu World Champs terms and conditions

1. The terms and conditions

a) By participating in this Competition ‘Skinny VIPish at the Manu World Champs’, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Competition Terms.

b) The Promoter of this Competition is Skinny Mobile ("Skinny").

c) This Competition is only open to Skinny Customers on the following mobile plans ($17, $20 weekly, $27, $40, $50 and $70 plan). The above is not open to employees of Skinny, its agents, contractors, consultants, or their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with this competition.

d) This Competition commences at 08:00 am on 11/01/2024 and ends at 12:00 pm on 21/01/2024.

e) Entrants must be a Skinny customer on an eligible mobile plan.

f) Entrants must be 18+ years of age

g) All valid entries received by 12:00 pm on 21/01/2024 will go into the draw.

2. Prize includes:

a) A place for the winner and their one friend to be hosted at the Skinny VIPish section at the World Manu Champs (see prize dates). 

b) The Skinny VIPish section is EITHER:

o At all events - A set of 10 deck chairs that winners will view the event from (the chair itself cannot be taken away from the event). 

o At the Auckland 9 March 2024 final ONLY - A set of two kayaks which will be placed inside the Auckland Viaduct Karanga Plaza water within the event viewing area. These winners will be required to wear life jackets at all times when in the water. 

c) Lunch (to the value of $25 NZD per person) from the event vendors.

d) A Skinny VIPish goodie bag to the value of $100 including Skinny branded bag, towel, sunscreen and jandals.

3. Prize event dates and locations:

4. To enter the competition entrants must:

a) Comment on the Skinny’s VIPish Manu World Champs Instagram post on its Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/skinnymobile/ 

b) The comment must include: (1) the name of the town that the entrant prefers to attend the event in (Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch) and (2) the Instagram handle of the friend they’d like to attend the event with them

c) Entrants can enter as many times as they like

5. Draw and contacting:

a. Winners will be drawn at 8:00 am on 22/01/2024 at random from all valid entries 

b. A comment on the original post will tag all winners in and will request them to direct message their email address to Skinny’s Instagram. Winners will be contacted via an email from Skinny’s agency ‘DRUM’ (@drumagencynz on Instagram). 

c. Winners will have 24 hours to reply and claim their prize or the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn. 

6. Winners will be selected and given a prize at random, there are multiple prizes to be won:

- All valid entries received by 11:59 pm on 17/03/2024 will go into the draw.

General terms:

- By participating in this Competition ‘Skinny Semi Pros’, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Competition Terms.

- The Promoter of this Competition is Skinny Mobile ("Skinny").

- This Competition is only open to New Zealand residents who are Skinny customers and are 17 years or older with their full drivers licence. The above is not open to employees of Skinny, its agents, contractors, consultants, or their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with this competition.

- This Competition commences at 06:00 pm on 06/12/2023 and ends at 6:00 pm on 15/01/2024.

- Entrants enter Skinny’s (Skinny Semi Pros) competition with a post on IG, FB or Tik Tok doing their ‘best’ manu with the hashtag  #skinnysemipros. 

- The entrant must be a Skinny customer.

- All valid entries received by 6:00 pm on 22/10/2023 will go into the draw.

Manu Champs:

- Winner must compete in the Z Manu World Champs in order to receive prizes

- Those who enter a post in the ‘Skinny Semi Pros’ competition with the hashtag 

- Winners attendance and participation in the Z Manu World Champs is mandatory

- #skinnysemipros hereby give Skinny permission to potentially repost their entry or include it in an edit on Skinny social platforms.

- Those who are chosen to be in the “Skinny Semi Pros” team will be required to sign a talent release form giving Skinny permission to include them in social content and any potential media opportunities. 

- Those who are chosen to be in the “Skinny Semi Pros” team will need to undertake a police background check.

- Those who are chosen to be in the “Skinny Semi Pros” team must be comfortable being on camera and give Skinny permission to film them and include them in social content during any competition.

- If a member of the “Skinny Semi Pros” team makes it to the Manu World Championship finals, Skinny is not required to pay transport to the event and the contestant must get to Auckland themselves.

Free Endless Data Weekends Terms & Conditions 2023-2024 - valid from 1st of December 2023.

How long does the offer run for: Free Endless Data weekends runs from 1st of December 2023 to 10th of March 2024.

What is a 'weekend': Free Endless Data can be activated any time from 5pm Friday, and once the session is activated it will run until midnight Sunday that weekend. The session cannot be terminated through the mobile app once started; it will need to run until it finishes on midnight Sunday. Delays of up to 10 minutes may occur in applying the free data to your account on Fridays, but don't worry it'll happen, we promise.

Who is eligible: The eligible mobile plans are Skinny 28-day rollover $17 and $27 plans, 28-day Endless $40, $50, $70 plans, and the $20 Endless Weekly plans, and 30-day and 28-day grandfathered rollover plans. To clarify, the following are not eligible mobile plans: Skinny's $9 plan, any $5 weekly plan customers, and any standard rates users.

If you purchase an eligible mobile plan during the weekend, the 'Free Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until the next weekend.

You must renew your plan: To be eligible for the 'Free Endless Data Weekends' on a specific weekend, you must have an active eligible mobile plan prior to Friday 5p. If you deactivate the mobile plan at any time during the Endless Data Weekends promotional period (1/12/2023 - 10/03/2024), or if your mobile plan doesn't renew, 'Free Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until you activate a new eligible mobile plan.

What do you get: Free Endless Data Weekends' includes an automatically applied free 2GB of bonus mobile data to be used first starting every Friday 5pm and ends Sunday midnight. That's a total of 55 hours each weekend to use up to 2GB of free bonus data if you're on an eligible mobile plan. Once this 2GB of free bonus data is finished, Endless Data can be activated through the Skinny mobile app for the remainder of that weekend by choice for all eligible customers who want to truly enjoy and benefit from not having to worry about running out of data. Endless data means data at reduced speeds to a maximum of 1.2Mbps. You will still be able to use your data like you did before but you will experience some degradation (such as lower video resolution) when watching video, streaming or loading images. Note: all of this data can only be used in New Zealand.

You must activate endless data, each weekend: Free Endless Data is built as a free Add-On within the mobile app and the 'Free Endless Data Weekend' option must be activated for eligible customers to use the Endless Data at reduced speeds. This must be activated every weekend if a customer wishes to use it consistently. If a customer does not wish to use Endless Data that weekend, they simply do not need to activate it through the app.

If you do not activate your Free Endless Data Weekend, then you will use up your normal plan data allowance after the 2GB free bonus data is used up first.

To properly benefit from Free Endless Data Weekends, it is recommended you activate Endless Data from 5pm Friday so that you can enjoy both the 2GB free bonus data, and falling onto Endless data once that is finished, without the need for any further action.

No rollover or gifting: Free Endless Data Weekends' 2GB free bonus and free Endless data does not rollover and does not allow gifting.

Call the Internet - Terms

By calling the internet on 0800 673 282 and leaving a message, you confirm you’re 16 or over. You won't get paid. Your recording, including your name and the location you give, might be played on the radio. If it makes the cut, we’ll call you on the number you use to record with, and let you know the next steps. Please make sure you’re calling from a valid NZ number that caller ID will recognise. 

If your recording doesn’t make the cut or we can’t get hold of you before using it, we’ll delete your recording. 

If you record something horrendous, we’ll probably just delete it. But if you need us to axe it asap, send your number and time of call to delete@skinny.co.nz. 

We’ll manage your mobile number and recording in line with our privacy policy, which you can find at skinny.co.nz/privacy-policy.

Spinoff Daily Quiz terms

• By participating in this Competition ‘The Spinoff 1Q daily quiz, Skinny extra credit question’, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Competition Terms. 

• The Promoter of this Competition is Skinny Mobile (“Skinny”). 

• This Competition is open to all New Zealand residents of any age and is not open to employees of Spark, its agents, contractors, consultants, or their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with this Competition.

• This Competition commences at 12:00am on 06/11/2023 and ends at 11:59pm on 06/04/2024

• Each week, on one randomised weekday only, starting from the 6th of November 2023 the Skinny extra credit question will be available to answer. 

• You may can only enter the Skinny extra credit question once per week. Skinny reserves the right to deactivate vouchers which are won by one individual more then once a week. 

• There are 10 x $10 mobile credit vouchers to be once each week until end of the competition period. The prize consists of 1 x $10 mobile credit voucher for the first 10 people to get the Skinny extra credit question right. There is one voucher per correct answer of the Skinny extra credit question, for the first 10 individual people, each week. You can only win one $10 mobile credit voucher per week.

• To be eligible for the Skinny extra credit question you must enter the Competition via Spinoff 1Q which is live on a random day of the week and you must correctly answer the entry question.

Skinny Sign-written Car terms

- By participating in this Competition ‘Skinny Sign-written Car’, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Competition Terms.

- The Promoter of this Competition is Skinny Mobile ("Skinny").

- This Competition is only open to New Zealand residents 17 years or older with their full drivers licence. The above is not open to employees of Skinny, its agents, contractors, consultants, or their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with this competition.

What does “returned home safe and ORANGE” mean?

- The winner's car will be covered in leftover Skinny stickers and driven a short distance to the meeting.

- To compensate for any potential damage to the vehicle's paint, Skinny will provide an orange paint job to the vehicle up to the value of $7000.

Prizes Include:

Skinny Fixed Broadband first 1 month free broadband – Terms and Conditions

The first two months free broadband offer (“the offer”) applies to your first two months (60 days) of base plan charges on your new Skinny Wireless Broadband 12 month plan account. Assumes customers will renew their Wireless Broadband plans on a monthly (30 days) basis.

The offer is only available to customers who do not currently purchase broadband from Skinny and have not had broadband with Skinny within the last 90 days..

Offer applies to new Skinny customers signing up to any of the following plans:

Data Binge terms

Data Binge allows you to buy prepay mobile data in time-restricted data sessions. To buy a Data Binge you need to be an active Skinny Mobile customer, with sufficient top up credit. Data Binge can be purchased via the Skinny Mobile app, or by texting DATABINGE to 2424. Data Binge cannot be purchased via any other channel. Roaming data excluded.

Data Binge is for personal use only on your mobile phone device while you are in New Zealand. Prohibited usage: Data Binge is not to be used for machine to machine services, tethering, mobile hotspots or any other similar activity that Skinny considers to be non-standard personal usage, and is not to be used on tablets, laptops, t-sticks, modems, hotspots, computers and any other non-mobile devices, or outside New Zealand. If we consider, acting reasonably, that you are using Data Binge in these prohibited ways we may contact you, and/or withdraw, suspend or terminate your access to Data Binge.

Data Binge, and its features, may change in whole or part from time to time.

Data Binge session will commence from the moment of the purchase, and will continue running until expiry. You cannot pause your Data Binge session once started. Any Data Binge sessions purchased while another Data Binge session is active, will not start until the end of your current active session.

Once your Data Binge session has finished, normal mobile data usage will apply. This means that:

• if you have data allowances available from a purchase of a Prepaid Plan, Add-On, or Skinny Collect Bonus, this data will be available to use again.

• if you are a Prepaid Plan customer with no data allowance remaining, no further data usage or charges will apply

• if you’re a Standard Rates customer, standard data rates will apply

Skinny will endeavour to provide you with two Data Binge expiry notifications via Skinny Mobile App and a text message – one sent 2 minutes prior to expiry, and a second one sent once your session has expired. If you are using consecutive Data Binge sessions (i.e. you’ve purchased additional sessions while another Data Binge session was active), the notifications will be sent when your total available Data Binge minutes expire.

Your ability to receive notifications will depend on various factors outside our control, such as network conditions and/or if you enable receipt of notifications on your device or via the Skinny App. Not receiving an expiry notification does not release you from any responsibility to pay additional charges incurred from the use of data outside your Data Binge session. To change how your account is set up to receive the Data Binge notifications, log in to your Skinny dashboard, choose Settings, and click “Change your notifications”.

Skinny Buddy Rewards as of 16th October 2023

  • 1. Skinny customers (“you” or the “referrer”) may request a Skinny Buddy Rewards promo code (“promo code”) via the Skinny App.
    2. If any of your friends then join Skinny on a $17 or above 4-weekly Prepaid Plan and use that promo code, we will give you and each of those friends Skinny Buddy rewards. Skinny Buddy rewards will be either a NZD top-up credit or bonus NZ Data, as stated in your app message. Skinny Buddy rewards are subject to change periodically.
    3. Your promo code must be redeemed by your friend(s) by 31/03/2024. Your promo code can be shared with as many of your friends as you like provided that each of your friends (“eligible friend”):
      a. Is a real person (sorry, we don’t accept imaginary friends);
      b. Is not currently a Skinny customer;
      c. Signs up for a $17 or above 4-weekly Prepaid Plan; and

    9. The account credit reward that you earn with your promo code expires 12 months from the date it is applied to your account. The bonus data award earned by an eligible friend expires within 90 days from the date it is awarded through redemption.

Free Endless Data Weekends Terms & Conditions 2022/2023 - valid from 31st of October 2022.

How long does the offer run for: Free Endless Data weekends runs from 31st of October 2022 to 12th of March 2023.

What is a 'weekend': Free Endless Data can be activated any time from 5pm Friday, and once the session is activated it will run until midnight Sunday that weekend. The session cannot be terminated through the mobile app once started; it will need to finish until midnight Sunday. Delays of up to 10 minutes may occur in applying the free data to your account on Friday's, but don't worry it'll happen, we promise.

Who is eligible: The eligible mobile plans are Skinny 28-day rollover $17 and $27 plans, 28-day Endless $40, $50, $70 plans, and the $20 Endless Weekly plans, and 30-day and 28-day grandfathered rollover plans. To clarify, the following are not eligible mobile plans: Skinny's $9 plan, any $5 weekly plan customers, and any standard rates users.

If you purchase an eligible mobile plan during the weekend, the 'Free Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until the next weekend.

You must renew your plan: To be eligible for the 'Free Endless Data Weekends' on a specific weekend, you must have an active eligible mobile plan prior to Friday 5PM. If you deactivate the mobile plan at any time during the Endless Data Weekends promotional period (31/10/2022 - 12/03/2023), or if your mobile plan doesn't renew, 'Free Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until you activate a new eligible mobile plan.

What do you get: Free Endless Data Weekends' includes free 2GB of bonus mobile data to be used first starting every Friday 5PM and ends Sunday midnight. That's a total of 55 hours to use up to 2GB of free bonus data if you're on an eligible mobile plan. Once this 2GB of free bonus data is finished, Endless Data can be activated through the Skinny mobile app for the remainder of that weekend by choice for all eligible customers who want to truly enjoy and benefit from not having to worry about running out of data. Endless data means data at reduced speeds of 1.2Mbps. You will still be able to use your data like you did before but you will experience some degradation (such as lower video resolution) when watching video, streaming or loading images. Note all of this data can only be used in New Zealand.

You must activate endless data, each weekend: Free Endless Data is built as a free Add-On within the mobile app and the 'Free Endless Data Weekend' option must be activated for eligible customers to use the Endless Data at reduced speeds. This must be activated every weekend if a customer wishes to use it consistently. If a customer does not wish to use Endless Data that weekend, they simply do not need to activate it through the app.

If a customer does not activate their Free Endless Data Weekend, then they will use up their normal plan data allowance after the 2GB free bonus data is used up first.

To properly benefit from Free Endless Data Weekends, it is recommended customers activate Endless Data from 5pm Friday so that they can enjoy both the 2GB free bonus data, and falling onto Endless data once that is finished, without the need for any further action.

No rollover or gifting: Free Endless Data Weekends' 2GB free bonus and free Endless data does not rollover and does ot allow gifting.

Endless Data Weekends Terms & Conditions 2020/2021 - valid from 6 November 2020

  • How long does the offer run for: Endless Data weekends runs from 06 Nov 2020 to 07 Mar 2021.
  • What is a 'weekend': Endless Data can be activated any time from 5pm Friday, and once the session is activated it will run until midnight Sunday that weekend. The session cannot be terminated through the mobile app once started; it will need to finish until midnight Sunday. Delays of up to 10 minutes may occur in applying the free data to your account on Friday's, but don't worry it'll happen, we promise.
  • Who is eligible: The eligible mobile plans are Skinny 28-day rollover $17 and $27 plans, 28-day Endless $40, $50, $70 plans, and the $20 Endless Weekly plans, and 30-day and 28-day grandfathered rollover plans. To clarify, the following are not eligible mobile plans: Skinny's $9 plan, any $5 weekly plan customers, and any standard rates users.
  • If you purchase an eligible mobile plan during the weekend, the 'Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until the next weekend.
  • You must renew your plan: To be eligible for the 'Endless Data Weekends' on a specific weekend, you must have an active eligible mobile plan prior to Friday 5PM. If you deactivate the mobile plan at any time during the Endless Data Weekends promotional period (6/11/2020 - 7/03/2021), or if your mobile plan doesn't renew, 'Endless Data Weekends' will not apply until you activate a new eligible mobile plan.
  • What do you get: Endless Data Weekends' includes free 2GB of bonus mobile data to be used first starting every Friday 5PM and ends Sunday midnight. That's a total of 55 hours to use up to 2GB of free bonus data if you're on an eligible mobile plan. Once this 2GB of free bonus data is finished, Endless Data can be activated through the Skinny mobile app for the remainder of that weekend by choice for all eligible customers who want to truly enjoy and benefit from not having to worry about running out of data. 
    Endless data means data at reduced speeds of 1.2Mbps. You will still be able to use your data like you did before but you will experience some degradation (such as lower video resolution) when watching video, streaming or loading images. 
    Note: all of this data can only be used in New Zealand.
  • You must activate endless data, each weekend: Endless Data is built as a free Add-On within the mobile app and the 'Endless Data Weekend' option must be activated for eligible customers to use the Endless Data at reduced speeds. This must be activated every weekend if a customer wishes to use it consistently. If a customer does not wish to use Endless Data that weekend, they simply do not need to activate it through the app.
  • If a customer does not activate their Endless Data Weekend, then they will use up their normal plan data allowance after the 2GB free bonus data is used up first.
  • To properly benefit from Endless Data Weekends, it is recommended customers activate Endless Data from 5pm Friday so that they can enjoy both the 2GB free bonus data, and falling onto Endless data once that is finished, without the need for any further action.
  • No rollover: Endless Data Weekends' 2GB free bonus and free Endless data does not rollover.

Free Endless Data Weekends Terms & Conditions 2021/2022 - valid from 01 November 2021

  • How long does the offer run for: Free Endless Data weekends runs from 01 Nov 2021 to 13 Mar 2022.

  • Available to all eligible Skinny customers between 10 April 2020 – 30 April 2020.
