To easily secure your device enable a lock code to unlock it. Follow these steps to learn how to enable a lock code.

Step 1:

From the home screen, swipe up to open the main menu.

Step 2:

Tap Settings.

Step 3:

Tap Fingerprint, Face & Passcode..

Step 4:

Tap Lock Screen Passcode.

Step 5:

Tap Turn on Passcode.

Step 6:

Enter a lock code.

Step 7:

Re-enter the lock code and tap OK.

Step 8:

Enter your email address, so you can reset your passcode.

Now that you have set a lock code, you will need to enter this code everytime you are unlocking your device.
