How does it work for your buddy (who is new to Skinny)?
Firstly, your buddy needs to get a Skinny SIM and activate it (They can buy a SIM here).
Then buy a $17 or above 4-weekly plan.
Download the Skinny App.
Get your buddy to enter the redemption code you sent them under the Buddy Rewards redemption card in the app.
Important things to know:
Your buddy must join a $17 or above 4-weekly plan and has 30 days from activating their SIM to redeem the code via the Skinny App.
As a new customer, your buddy can only redeem a Buddy Rewards code once.
Once your buddy redeems the code, they'll receive 4GB bonus data which is valid for 90 days, and you'll receive a text confirming your $10 credit reward.
Your buddy's bonus data will be visible across all self-service channels (such as the app and dashboard) as an increase in their rollover data allowance.

Your Buddy Rewards code is valid until 31 December 2026 and can be shared with multiple buddies.
Any account credit earned through Buddy Rewards expires 12 months after it is applied to your account.
Buddy Rewards are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and must be redeemed through the account to which they were credited. Rewards have no cash value and must be used within their 12-month validity period.

Go to the Buddy Rewards tab on the Skinny App and click on the “grab a code” button to get a code. You can then send this code to your buddies to redeem.
The code is valid until 31 December 2026, unless extended. The code can be sent to as many buddies as you like over this time. Just remember that you will only get the reward if your buddy joins Skinny on a $17 or above 4-weekly plan and redeems the code within 30 days of activating their Skinny SIM.
No. They can only redeem the code once and receive the free 4GB of bonus data once. However, they can grab a new code from the app and refer Skinny to their buddies and get $10 credit rewards for every buddy they refer to Skinny who joins on an appropriate plan and redeems the code in a timely manner.
They can redeem the code using the Skinny Mobile App. Make sure they’re on Skinny Mobile with an active $17 or above 4-weekly plan and have downloaded the app. The code is case sensitive, so make sure they enter it exactly as they see it.
We do not recommend that. If they just forward the code, they will miss out on the reward as that is not the code associated with their account. If they would like to bring a buddy on board we suggest they go into the app and grab a new code to forward onto their mates. That way they will get the rewards of bringing their new buddies on board.
Yes, you’ll get your 4GB bonus data reward added onto your Max Speed data allowance which means you get to enjoy more max speed data before Endless Data kicks in. You’ll have 90 days to use the 4GB bonus after which it expires.
